As the brand says it, Mandingo Trio is comprised of three highly seasoned musicians from Senegal, Gambia and Tanzania. The combination of pulsating African music and rhythmic poetry has proven to be lethal to critics and none believers alike. The trio uses Swahili, Mandingo and English languages in their repertoire. You can hear the origin of blues, nyabhingi chant and experience hip hop beats in a rootical style. Mandingo Trio’s music is food for the Soul, Mind and Body. In other words it is for real!

Within a short spate of time the Trio has managed to perform both at festivals and clubs, like the Zanzibar International Film Festival and Oslo Mela (both in corporation with the blues guitarist Knut Reiersrud). Right now, Mandingo Trio is working on its debut album.
